NOTES: - The 11th Edition, Second Printing of Boating Skills and Seamanship and the accompanying Student Workbook will be used. One text will be provided to each full fee registrant. Supplemental family enrollees will not receive a text. All enrollees are eligible to take the final examination. - Students will be tested only on the first six chapters of the text. - Students requiring special assistance or accommodation should express these needs to any of the flotilla staff at the beginning of the course/class. - Near the conclusion of most sessions, a short marlinespike demonstration and exercise will be included to assist students in enhancing their line-handling and knot-tying skills. - If you have any questions or concerns about the course or your attendance, you can contact the Flotilla Public Education Officer, George O'Brian, phone 224-0929 or E-mail at gobriensc@bellsouth.net |
All classes include a last session which includes final review of text material and then a final examination. We hold all our BS&S classes on Tuesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at:
